  • Our story

    FIDRA was founded by Emma and Jo, friends living in East Lothian on the south-east coast of Scotland, who wanted to create a delicious, dry gin using botanicals that grow locally in summer.

    They perfected their recipe on a tiny 5-litre still before calling on the expertise of Walter Micklethwait at Inshriach in the Highlands to make their gin. They named it FIDRA after a tiny island just off the coast.

    Now it’s just Jo at the helm, but FIDRA is still made in the mountains with botanicals hand-picked by the sea.
